John's Rallying

Giovanni (John) was well known for his rallying in the 80's. The famous "Mamma Mia" Ford Escort being being flung around Chester as well as the forest of Wales!

He won his club drivers championship in 1984 with co-driver Nicky Grist who went on to be World Rally Champion co-driving for Juha Kankunnen and the legendary Colin McRae. Another regular co-driver was Ian Wray who was also a British Rally Championship navigator in the 1990's.
